Title: Web-based training evaluation in the workplace: Practices, instructional architectures, and skills
This study examined WBT evaluation in workplace settings using a site visit and an online survey. Selected results showed that evaluation measures are in use, that project manager is a frequent role on a WBT team, that teams often include three to five members, and that team members come from many different fields.

Axia College of the University of Phoenix, (multiple writing courses), June 2006.
Recently acquired by University of Phoenix, Axia offers lower division courses lasting eleven weeks. Teaching involves two courses at a time (44 students), and maintenance of telephone and computer access office hours 20 hours per week. I have been approved to teach CRT 201, COM 110, COM 125, COM 210, CIT 205, HUM 201, and IT 101. I have taught COM 125 (a first-year student research course like the traditional English 102) Like the University of Phoenix, these classes are asynchronous courses using Outlook Express newsgroups.
University of Phoenix Online, Essentials of College English, March 2004 to present (3 credit/intensive)
This course is essentially an intensive, first-year English composition class including individual writing projects, peer reviews, and revision. It also includes a major research paper created by a team of students. This is an asynchronous online course using Outlook Express newsgroups
University of Phoenix Online, Critical Thinking, March 2006 to present (3 credit/intensive)
This course is an introduction to inductive and deductive logic, fallacies, problem-solving techniques, identification and management of the perception process, and the influence of assumptions, emotional influences, and language in our thinking and communication processes. Involves individual and team projects, and it is an asynchronous online course using Outlook Express newsgroups
Northern Arizona University, Principles of Written Argumentation (ENG 211), Spring 2006 (3 credit)
This course covers types of argumentation and rhetorical methods for creating an effective argument. The course includes a ten page research project and about 25 pages of graded writing during the semester. Texas Tech University, College Rhetoric Online Document Instructor, Fall 2002 to Spring 2005 (20 hour/week to fulfill quota)
For both first and second semester College Rhetoric courses, document instructors provide online feedback and grades for essay, peer review, and reflection assignments for about 2500 students using Interactive Composition Online (ICON). Texas Tech University, Technical Writing (ENGL 2311), Spring 2001, Fall 2001, and Spring 2002 (3 credits)
This is an introductory course for technical writing students and a required course for many other majors. I included cover letters, resumes, instructions, usability testing, and required a major service project (individual or group, student choice) to produce, test, and deliver a needed document to a client.
Texas Tech University, Advanced College Rhetoric (ENGL 1302), Spring 2000 and Fall 2000 (3 credits)
This is the second of two required first-year composition courses. This course requires three papers with two drafts and a final for each, peer reviews of all drafts, and reflections after each final. The third paper is a major research paper.
Texas Tech University, Essentials of College Rhetoric (ENGL 1301), Fall 1999 (3 credits)
This is the first of two required first-year composition courses. The course covers writing process requiring drafts and peer reviews of all essays. I included a small service project (individual or group) as the final project and included a final exam covering editing (locating errors in a three paragraph text) and rhetorical terminology used in class.
South Plains College (Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center). Continuing Education: Technical and Business Writing. Spring 2001 & Fall 2001.
These short, non-credit courses (six sessions, three hours per session) included basic principles of professional writing, e-mail and memorandums, business letters, reports, resumes, and cover letters. The students met in a well-equipped computer classroom and conducted online research during class.
Northern Arizona University, School of Forestry Writing Consultant, Fall 1998 and Spring 1999
For the School of Forestry, I conducted four writing workshops for students and provided individual consulting for staff, faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
Northern Arizona University, Critical Reading and Writing in the University Community, Fall 1997, Spring 1998, and Summer 1998 (ENG 105). (4 credits)
This first-year composition course combines the traditional two first year courses. Students meet once each week in the computer lab. The course requires a major research paper on a topic having to do with an environmental issue.
Northern Arizona University, Fundamentals of English Composition (ENG 100), Spring 1998 (1 credit)
This course is one-to-one with students who wish specific and individual writing help. The course is designed after an initial assessment and conference. Students are required to produce writing weekly.
